What a Turkish limited company really costs

Blog posts quote wildly different totals, and several current ones still carry a wrong minimum capital. This calculator builds the bill from the verified pieces: registry and notary ranges, the tariff-floored accounting fee, the levy on capital, and the lock-up that is not actually an expense.

Why a range, not a number. Notary, registry and accountant pricing genuinely varies by city and provider; the accounting floor is set by tariff (quotes far below ₺8,000/month are not sustainable). Timeline: registry approval in 1-3 business days in practice; realistically 10-15 calendar days to fully operational.
Methodology and sources

One-time costs combine notary, trade registry and chamber registration with formation-service and small administrative items; monthly costs are the accountant plus per-employee payroll administration. The Competition Authority levy is 0.04% of capital. Ranges reflect genuine market spread; Istanbul runs above them.

  • Minimum capital TRY 50,000 (some 2026 blogs wrongly say 100,000) · Trade Ministry, Decree 7887
  • 2026 accounting tariff floor TRY 7,985/month; formation service TRY 9,090 · TURMOB 2026 minimum tariff, Official Gazette 33110 (17 Dec 2025)
  • Competition Authority levy 0.04% of capital · Rekabet Kurumu

The minimum capital does not have to be blocked at formation; it is payable within 24 months of registration.

Accounting fees below the TURMOB tariff floor carry disciplinary sanctions, so quotes under TRY 8,000/month are not sustainable.

Istanbul pricing runs above these bands; small towns below.
