2026 changed the employer math. The new Tax Code cut social tax from 11% to 6% but removed its offset and raised the pension ramp; the employer extras here are SO ₸22,500, social tax ₸26,400, health ₸15,000 and pension ramp ₸17,500.
Methodology and sources

Employee side: 10% pension and 2% health (both capped), then income tax on the remainder after the 129,750 KZT standard deduction, at 10% up to the bracket and 15% beyond. Employer side: 5% social contributions on the clamped base, 6% social tax, 3% health and the 3.5% pension ramp for employees born in 1975 or later. Dollar figures use 458.22 KZT/USD as of 22 Aug 2026. The income tax bracket is annual; the engine applies its monthly equivalent.

Social tax fell from 11% to 6% and is no longer reduced by social contributions.

The employer pension ramp (OPVR) is 3.5% in 2026, rising to 5% by 2028, and applies to employees born in 1975 or later.
